The other night as we were laying in our beds, Jose randomly turns to me and says, “Pegah, if someone breaks into our appartment, don’t think I’m going to defend you. I’ll be hiding in the closet or already out the door.”

Can you imagine the look on my face? RUDE! So, of course I get scared and can’t sleep and having no curtains wasn’t helping the situation. Thankfully, Jose went back to normal and decided to be nice by hanging his $5 new sheets over the windows!

First night in the new place, we don’t have to sleep on the floor!

Here’s what happened. The subway exit down the street is directly next to a furniture store. While we were looking for mattresses, a girl walks in (a friend of the salesman), and begins talking up his store and down his competitors that just opened across the street. Before buying his deal of two mattresses for $300, we decided to secretly check out the other place. Turns out, these guys were offering nicer orthopedics, two for $270 without tax and free delivery! WE’LL TAKE IT!
